The show was held in the Laguna Woods Village Clubhouse 3 Theater. The proceeds ($4,500) from the show were donated to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.

October 6, 2019: Sunshine Performance Club presented a Dance/Show/Charity Event. The Chordells (Mark and Priscilla) provided lively dance music from 6-7 pm and members of the Sunshine Performance Club provided a musical variety show from 7-9 pm at the Laguna Woods Village Clubhouse 5. $5 tickets were sold at the door. $400 was raised via donations from the audience, from friends and from the Sunshine Performance Club for the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village. Michael Hayes gathered the volunteers from the Kiwanis Key Clubs; Mary Lou Crooks was the Volunteer Director. The sound and stage technicians were Hugh Duncan and Ryan Agnew. The show was recorded by Channel 6 Productions and edited by Sunshine Lutey. Turn up the volume to hear the show.

The event was free for Laguna Woods residents and a benefit for the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village. Sponsors and audience members donated over $4,000 to the Foundation. Special thanks to the sponsors: Mrs. Liang Ku, CeCe Sloan, Jimmy Innis. Sunshine was the director and her family members volunteered along with six Sunshine Performance Club members to make the show a success. She is very thankful to everyone - John R. Miller-Violinist, Waverly Hanson-Stage Manager, Beth Cornelius and Ana Shu-her costume assistants, Bruce Thompson and David Siler-Prop Assistants and David's costume assistants, Cheryl Silverman and Phil Silverman-Back Drop Scenes, Denise Connor-Train Whistle, Debbie Byrne, Peggy Edwards, Art Cornelius, John Koller-Ushers and to the technicians-Hugh Duncan and Ryan Agnew.
Pre-Show: Sunshine created an hour-long pre-show that began with the start of the Village in 1964 with wonderful photos received from the History Center. It then continued with David's and her arrival in the Village (1994 and 1995) and followed the musical trail through 2019.
Backdrop Scenes: Sunshine created backdrop scenes for every song; since only some of them show in the video, all of them can be viewed here.

The events was broken into two videos - one of the Woods Jazz Combo and one of the Sunshine Singers. It is a nice memory.

David's and my video camera recorded the performers. The camera was mostly unattended, so the video lacks quality. There are no close-ups; however, it is a nice memory. At the end, the video displays pictures of various audience members standing beside the plaque while Mark Hochberg plays the piano in the background. I thought I caught just about everyone's picture but found I was wrong.

2016 Sunshine Musical Adventure Event For Laguna Woods Village; 17th Sunshine Benefit
In addition to providing two exciting shows for the Laguna Woods Village residents, over $8,000 was raised and donated to charity; the charities were Alzheimer's Orange County, Foundation of Laguna Woods Village and Saddleback Kiwanis Foundation.
